Prime Minister Edi Rama proposed to President Bajram Begaj, this Friday, the name of Vlora Hysen for the leadership of the State Intelligence Service.
Hyseni presents herself as an expert and very knowledgeable about security issues and international relations.
She led the Kosovo Intelligence Agency for a 6-month period, from December 2020 to June 2021 – the period during which the Kosovar intelligence institution was without a leader.
Earlier, she held the post of deputy director at the Kosovo Intelligence Agency, as well as the post of director for foreign relations in this institution.
She was dismissed from the post of KIA chair, on June 30, 2020 with the decision taken by President Vjosa Osmani and Prime Minister Albin Kurti. The reasons for the dismissal decision were not made public at the time.
Meanwhile, it is known that Hyseni is a very good connoisseur of foreign languages and that she speaks a total of 6 of them.

Today I presented to the President of the Republic the proposal for the appointment of Mrs. VLORA HYSENI as director of the State Intelligence Service, with the full confidence that the outstanding preparation, the experience created over the years and the respect that Mrs. Hyseni enjoys in the international intelligence community, constitute a guarantee complete for the further reformation of the Albanian intelligence service
