Auron Tare, invited to Euronews Albania, explained how King Ahmet Zogu, as a sign of gratitude, gave the historian, Nicolae Iorga, land on the coast of Saranda.

Romania is now requiring these lands. 50% of the land that Iorga gave to Romania, where Iorga has served as prime minister.

The researcher Tare said that these lands were unjustly taken by the corrupt Alb courts as the kingdom of that time gave it to Iorga according to all laws. The reason why he granted it to him was the great contribution he had made for the declaration of Albania’s Independence.

“The corrupt Albanian courts and the local government, that are totally corrupt, gave it to a private individual who is in his right that he wants a property. That building and the surrounding territory, a part of which has already been built, because the local government also approved palaces, was a territory granted by the Albanian Kingdom to Professor Iorgos.

It is a very clear issue, but as always in Albania it is covered by a total corruption of the local government and the court”, said Auron Tare.
