Carabinieri in Novara, Italy have arrested an Albanian citizen and his Romanian colleague, after a quantity of narcotics was found in the truck that they were traveling in.

The truck, which was driven by a Romanian citizen and an Albanian passenger, was transporting in the back an amount of 5.7 kilograms of cocaine as well as an amount of money of 3 thousand euros.

The Italian media reports that during the routine check, the policemen noticed nervousness in the Albanian citizen, which led them to check the vehicle.

The narcotics and the money were seized while the Albanian and the Romanian were taken into custody in Novara, awaiting the security measure from the Italian justice system.

The police are continuing the work to identify the other persons involved in this criminal activity.
