The chairman of Kosovo’s Assembly, Glauk Konjufca is pessimistic over an agreement with Serbia regarding the Association.

Speaking to KosovaPress, he says that both parties hold opposite stances.

“As long as Serbia is hegemonic and has a mentality that belongs to the ‘90s and Milošević’s time, I don’t expect a solution in the form of an agreement. This agreement can only be done if Serbia changes,” says Konjufca.

Speaking of the dismissal of the Management Team that compiled the Association’s draft statute, Konjufca says that their work was in line with Serbia’s interests.

“They presented an Association similar to a Republika Srpska in Kosovo. It’s a good thing they’ve been dismissed,” comments the Assembly’s chairman.

He emphasizes that with Serbs out of the institutions, issues won’t be solved.

“Without Serbs in institutions, the dialogue cannot continue. The QUINT’s stance was clear, accept Kosovo’s institutions, return to these institutions, accept the constitutional framework in which Kosovo operates and only then can we move on to other steps,” points Konjufca.
