Out of 143 candidates for mayor, only 15 of them are women. 8 candidates are from the Socialist Party, 3 from the Democratic Party and 3 from the ‘Together We Win’ coalition, as well as 1 from the ‘PDIU’.
In the local elections on May 14, 143 candidates for mayor will compete in the country’s 61 municipalities, of which 15 women will compete in 15 of them.
