The General Director of the State Police, Muhamet Rrumbullaku, and other leaders of the State Police welcomed to the premises of the ‘DPPSH’, a high delegation of the Italian Police, which was headed by the Director of the Anti-Mafia Investigation Directorate Maurizio Vallone and consisted of representatives of this directorate and by representatives of the Italian Interforce office in Albania.
Discussions during this visit were focused on intensifying cooperation between the police of both countries, to jointly investigate criminal trafficking groups operating in both countries, as well as to coordinate police actions in order to destroy these groups, the arrest of the members, as well as the seizure of their financial assets.
Rrumbullaku thanked the head of the Antimafia, Vallone, and the representatives of the Italian Interforce office in Albania, for the partnership offered by these structures and by the Italian police as a whole. He emphasized that this partnership has generated very positive results in the fight against organized crime, as well as expressed the belief that the relations of cooperation and friendship will be developed in other police aspects, to guarantee the safety of the citizens of both countries.
On the other hand, the Director of the Anti-Mafia Investigation Directorate of Italy praised Rrumbullaku, for the full activation of the State Police, mainly during the last years, to participate, coordinate and direct important international operations in the field of narcotics, in other areas of trafficking and against border crimes.
