People smugglers are making money twice by bringing illegal immigrants to Britain and helping wanted criminals, including murderers, to escape across the Channel” – this is how the Daily Mail article, published recently about Albanians, begins.

According to the article, farmers are advertising emergency trips in the back of trucks for “people who have problems and want to leave the country as soon as possible.”

Albanians, according to the Daily Mail, are advertising their service through the “Tik Tok” network, where it costs 17,500 pounds to go to England. Smugglers, for a fee, provide the passenger with false documents and with documents as a truck driver, setting him up as a substitute driver. The trafficker said the trick was used routinely.

British police forces are chasing at least 38 suspected Albanian criminals, including nine wanted for murder and two suspected rapists, one accused of assaulting a child.

Other Albanian suspects on the run include an alleged £3m fraudster, a domestic abuser, a cannabis producer, a cocaine dealer.

It is suspected that some of them may have fled the UK, with the help of people smugglers.

A TikTok ad found by the Mail said: ‘Problems wanting to get out of England as quickly as possible, going to France or Belgium in the back of a lorry. Price £2,500.’

Wanted Albanian suspects have managed to escape from Great Britain on many occasions.

Eugert Merizaj fled the UK after carrying out the “meticulously planned” gangland-style execution of a drug rival in Hartlepool in 2019.

He bought an ax and cable ties to help carry out the execution while another member of the Albanian crime gang fired a gun.

After an international manhunt he was eventually found living in Belgium under a false name and extradited to the UK, where he was convicted of murder and jailed for 32 years last year.

Cleveland police are still pursuing three other Albanians, Daniel Kadiu, Armando Marku and Sajmir Dodoveci, in connection with this case, who are believed to be living abroad. Detectives in Teesside are working with international crime agencies to trace them.

Suspects in other cases include Ron Domi, 21, from Luton, who is wanted for raping and sexually assaulting a teenage girl under 16.

It is unclear where he went, but detectives have said that, as well as Luton, Dom has links to north London and Albania. They have appealed to members of the Albanian community for information on his location.

TikTok banned the people-smuggling accounts after being notified by the Mail, but when such pages are taken down, they usually quickly reappear in a similar form.

A TikTok spokesperson said: “We have zero tolerance for content that facilitates human smuggling and trafficking.

“The videos and accounts in question have been banned and we continue to work closely with UK law enforcement and industry partners to find and remove content of this nature.”

Our investigation comes after the Mail revealed solicitors are demanding up to £10,000 to submit bogus asylum claims for illegal immigrants.

The Solicitors Regulatory Authority closed three firms, banned a legal adviser and launched a review of the entire sector after the Prime Minister called for urgent action following our exposé.
