Over the weekend, acclaimed Greek singer Konstandinos Argiros held a concert in the city of Gjirokastra.

The concert took place within the fortress of the city, attracting numerous spectators, including tourists visiting Gjirokastra these days.

During an official ceremony, Mayor Flamur Golemi symbolically handed over “The Key to the City” to the celebrated singer.

Among other things, Mayor Golemi praised the concert organized in Gjirokastra, describing the singer as an ambassador of the city and Albania to the world.

“I highly appreciate this action for our historic city. It was one of the best concerts I have ever experienced anywhere, in one of the most beautiful places, the fortress. I cannot find words to describe the people’s love; they gave me their hearts, and every time I can, I will give my heart to Gjirokastra. I genuinely thank you for the warm hospitality, I appreciate it, and you have my heart,” expressed the Greek singer.

Throughout last weekend, numerous cultural activities took place in Gjirokastra, attracting both local and foreign tourists.

This was the second time for Konstantinos Argiros to visit Albania. On January 26, the Greek singer held a concert in Tirana and was presented by the city’s mayor, Erion Veliaj with the “Clock Tower”.
