Albin Kurti refused to admit that there is corruption within the management structures of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, after the arrests that were made there on Friday. He gave full support to Minister Rozeta Hajdari.

“I have full faith in Minister Rozeta Hajdari and her work. After the war in Ukraine, when there was a global crisis, the ministry that she leads, bought the reserves and filled the warehouses at a time when all the borders were closed and almost all the countries had banned export,” said Kurti.

The head of the government attacked opponents in politics, justice and the media for trying to return to power, according to him, the former corrupt system.

“You find the losers in the old and corrupt political elite, in the court and its prosecutors, in the misused media to support crime. Although few in number, their benefits have been multi-millions, so they can’t help but feel like big losers. Their efforts to change the situation are in the service of the plan to return the former rotten and corrupt system.

Three officials of the Ministry of Industry, Enterprise and Trade were arrested on August 18 on corruption charges for abusing state reserves. The institution itself has denied the abuses.
