Next year, Pogradec will welcome for the first time in Albania the world championship of Formula One in water, otherwise known as F1H2O.

From July 1 to July 7, water motor and speedboat races will be organized in Pogradec lake.

High representatives of the world championship were in Pogradec to sign the cooperation contract with the mayor.

The representative of Formula 1 in the water in Albania, Kris Spaho, considered it a great sporting and touristic event for Albania.

The mayor of Pogradec, Ilir Xhakolli, said that they will do everything necessary to meet all the conditions for organizing a world-class competition.

Participants in the competition and staff will be more than 600 people. In the 7 days of competitions, the best pilots of 43 well-known teams from many countries of the world will participate, who will compete in two disciplines, that of speedboats and jet skis.

Previously, such competitions were held in several countries of the world, such as Italy, Britain or Abu Dhabi.
