Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, officially took office after taking the oath to the President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj.
The new Minister of Foreign Affairs is welcomed by his predecessor, Olta Xhaçka, and the diplomatic staff at the premises of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where the official handing over ceremony was held, in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku.
Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, said that the main priority of the MEPJ will continue to be European integration, as he emphasized that the Albanian chairmanship of the OSCE and engagement in the Security Council have qualitatively increased Albania’s role in the international arena.
“It is up to all of us to try to bring more investments to our country, to help this qualitative progress that this beautiful country has taken. I am convinced that together we will create the right modalities to advance even further on the path ahead of us”, he said, the MEPJ press office informs.
Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, has served as the Coordinator of the Economic and Environmental Dimension of the OSCE since November 2021. While earlier he was the Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to the International Organizations in Vienna, where he headed the Mission of Albania to the OSCE, from January 2018 to November 2021, during this period Albania also held the next chairmanship of the OSCE.
