About 4 thousand people from 50 different countries of the world have registered to be part of the Tirana Marathon, which will be held this Sunday, October 22.
Even this year, there are 4 disciplines available to professional athletes, but also to those who have a passion for running, including people with disabilities.
It will be a 42-kilometer, 21-kilometer, 10-kilometer race, as well as “we too”, a race with a shortened route especially for paraplegics and quadriplegics.
According to the municipality of Tirana, which is the organizer of this event, this year there was a record number of registrations from different countries, including Australia and Israel.
Due to the marathon, on Sunday there will be some roads blocked. The marathon starts at 9 am and it is expected that after 1 pm all roads will be open.
To precede the marathon of Tirana, there is Run fun, another race that takes place on Saturday, where students from the capital’s schools also compete.
This is the seventh year that the marathon is organized in Tirana, where there are expected to be winners according to the disciplines.
