The Cold War Museum in Gjirokastra is already serving as an environment for the organization of artistic activities, which are based on the symbolism it conveys.

On Tuesday, three young high school students brought the theatrical piece “Letter from the war” to the premises of the former concrete shelter. The show directed by Lejda Çeli conveyed passages from various literary works with the message “Stop the war”.

“To conclude the Month of Literature, the Municipality of Gjirokastra organizes an activity during which we have selected from different works, different parts that talk about the war, the feelings of people who have experienced the war, we have decided to unite the literature, history and culture of our city in this activity,” she said.

“Today we held an activity in which we will talk about the war, as even today we have many wars going on. The first is that we convey a message “Stop the war!” and we have parts that we will talk about as we experience it,” said actress Megi Baxha.

Now the Cold War Museum is one of the most visited points in Gjirokastra, while artistic organizations are serving to revitalize its surroundings and attract tourists, mainly foreigners.
