Albanian Interior Minister Taulant Balla paid a visit to the children of Ukrainian police officers currently enjoying a 10-day vacation in the country.

Sharing the news through social media, Minister Balla expressed, “Durrës is hosting the children of Ukrainian police officers, whom we have invited to spend several days in Albania in different groups”.

The Minister also posted a video capturing moments of interaction and conversation with the Ukrainian police officers’ children.

Despite some rain in recent days, Minister Balla encouraged the visitors to enjoy the sunny weather. He suggested exploring the beautiful archaeological museum in the area and conveyed a hopeful message: “When Luhansk is liberated, you will return there with your families”.

In a heartwarming gesture, the children presented Minister Balla with a Ukrainian flag adorned with their signatures.

“This flag symbolizes our gratitude for the warm welcome. We came here to escape the harsh realities of war. The signatures represent our memories and appreciation,” explained the children.

Minister Balla reciprocated their kindness, assuring the children, “I will proudly display this flag in my office”.

The children currently staying in Durrës are those who have either lost parents in the war or are directly impacted by the ongoing conflict.
