The Albanian population has increased by 1066 people in the last 3 months. The report of the Institute of Statistics has highlighted that births in recent months are more numerous than deaths, thus causing the population to increase by 1066 people.
In the 3rd month of the year, 6,070 people were born, while 5,004 people died. Both births and deaths have decreased compared to the same period in 2022.
In this period, six regions of the country recorded a positive natural increase in the population, while in six others, a negative increase.
Tirana is the county with the highest natural increase, with 913 more births than deaths, while the county with the lowest natural increase is Korça, with 132 more deaths than births.
The capital, Tirana, ranks first for the largest number of babies born, while Gjirokastra ranks last. As for fatalities, according to Instat, Kukësi is the district with the lowest number of deaths, while Tirana has the highest number.
