Although November 28-29 is a holiday for Albanians, some of them choose to celebrate this day (Albanian independence day) abroad.

The tourist operator Fjorida Zani has stated that Albanians celebrate this day mainly in the countries of the region, but according to her, the European countries are not left behind.

“Traditionally, they celebrate the November holidays outside. Outside of Albania, in the region, but also Europe is not left behind. Mainly Rome, Florence, Budapest, Amsterdam. And the requests for the region are not left behind, since they are more accessible and the travel time is closer, they can leave with their cars or organized tours”, said Zani.

Although they are national holidays, Albanian citizens do not save money to visit their favorite places outside of Albania. The packages offered by the tour operators vary in the offer, starting from the type of transport, the days of stay and the amenities included in the package, which mainly consist of the hotel room and breakfasts.

“They start from 300 to 500-600 euros, it depends on the services they offer and how many stars they have. Since they have a few days off, they want to use them outside of Albania and do not celebrate for patriotism.

As far as bookings for cities in Albania are concerned, tour operators say they are at their lowest.
