The Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, made a statement to the media to announce the decisions of the Council of Ministers today.

He emphasized that each police officer will receive a payment of 118 thousand new ALL, while the payment is higher for those engaged in anti-crime operations.

He further expressed his gratitude to the firefighters, stressing that the latter will receive a monthly salary.

“Every employee of the state police for the year 2023 will receive a payment of almost 118 thousand new ALL. In some ways it is the biggest reward a policeman can get, but we all agree to appreciate the work done by the police officers. In cases of engagement in operations, the payment changes, so it is higher. The good news is the government’s appreciation for firefighters across the country. We have approved a reward for all the employees of the fire service engaged in a difficult situation that we have been through this summer. The government will transfer the fund to all municipalities, where all firefighters will receive a monthly salary” – said Balla.
