The brother of the elected mayor of Himara, Fredi Beleri, Leonard Beleri, has conducted an interview for the Greek media ERT.

According to the Greek media, he said during the interview that the government of Prime Minister Edi Rama cannot accept to lose the Municipality of Himara, as according to him, the forgeries made with the properties there may come to light.

“The government and Mr. Rama personally do not want to lose the municipality of Himara. Because there will be many. They continue to make forgeries with the parcels. The party continues”, said Leonardo Beleri.

Speaking at a special conference about Jorgo Goro’s position in his office, he said that he does nothing without Rama’s permission.

“Mr. Goro can’t breathe if he doesn’t get permission from Mr. Rama”, said Beleri’s brother, repeating his brother’s suggestion that if it is not the mayor himself who has been elected, then someone else should take the post, another elected from his faction.

“Unfortunately, we have an unreliable interlocutor”, said Fredi Beleri’s brother, estimating that Goro will remain in his position “as long as Mr. Rama wants”.

In fact, he said that the prime minister of Albania prefers to sacrifice the future of his people and for Albania not to enter the EU, than to lose the municipality of Himara.

He even assessed that his actions are due to the fact that “forgeries are made at the highest level and unfortunately many people must be protected under the umbrella of Mr. Rama”.

We remind that Beleri is in prison on charges of buying votes for the May 14 local elections.
