The police seized an arsenal of weapons during an operation in the city of Vlora. They were found in a store in this city, while the action continues.

Among the weapons found are AK-47 assault rifles and pistols. Among the seized evidence are vehicle license plates, grenades and explosives.

The seized weapons will be subjected to expertise to find out if they were used in criminal events in the coastal city.

The warehouse was camouflaged as a secondhand store. The authorities had information about the warehouse and it was under observation until the moment of the intervention this Monday, February 12.

The owner of these illegal items, 31-year-old Gjergji Dervishaj, also known by the nickname “Zoto”, was arrested by the police.

A warehouse of weapons and mines was discovered in the 10 July neighborhood, while the police also carried out checks in an apartment near the store, which is suspected to be owned by the arrested person.
