Foreigners invested 354 million euros in Albania, increased interest from Turks and Italians

Foreign businesses invested 354 million euros in the first 3 months of the year. According to the origin, most of the money this period came from Turkish and Italian companies.

The flow of foreign direct investments reached 354 million euros in the first quarter of the year, from 307 million euros last year.

Flows from Turkey lead this year with 69 million euros, accounting for about 20% of the total. In second place, followed by Italy with 41 million euros, followed by Austria, the Netherlands, Kosovo and Germany.

In contrast, investment flows were lower from China, Greece, Sweden and Slovenia, the value of which varies from 1 to 3 million euros. In the span of one year, countries such as Austria, North Macedonia, and Kosovo have had the highest growth of investment flows in Albania with 48, 50, and 82% respectively.

Meanwhile, investments from the Netherlands, which have been leading in terms of value, have lost ground, and with a similar trend, investments from Greece, France, Sweden and Slovenia also appear.

According to the data provided by the Central Bank, 80 million euros injected into our economy at the beginning of the year, do not have a specified origin, preferring to come here with a confidential report for the public.
