At Monday’s session of the Specialized Chambers in The Hague, the former spokesman of the KLA, Jakup Krasniqi, had his tie with national symbols removed before entering the courtroom.

The Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu, reacted to this, who through a letter asked the President of the Specialized Chambers of Kosovo, Ekaterina Trendafilova, to take action to address the issue of removing Jakup Krasniqi’s tie before Monday’s court session in Special.

Haxhiu wrote that this action is an absurd act. Meanwhile, Euronews Albania has obtained the letter from Minister Haxhiu addressed to the President of the Specialized Chambers of Kosovo, Trendafilova.

“Through this letter, I am writing to you regarding the recent situation that occurred in the court session at the Specialized Chambers of Kosovo. According to the information we received, before Mr. Jakup Krasniqi entered the hall where court sessions are held, the tie he was wearing was removed, without any reason and without any justification.

Even when this was raised as a concern by the lawyer, she received the answer from Judge Charles Smith that he has no information and that he will take care of it. This action has caused deep concern and indignation in the public opinion of Kosovo”, it is stated, among other things, in Haxhiu’s letter addressed to the president of the Specialized Chambers.
