On August 28 and 29, Prime Minister Edi Rama will gather ministers and mayors in an informal meeting.
As usual, the invitation was send to the mayors of the opposition.
This is a traditional meeting that the head of government holds before every political season to coordinate the work between the two powers.
Financial reforms in local government and investments were the main issues discussed by governors and local government.
Now a new issue connects the paths of the two parties, as the government has charged the mayors with the issue of legalizations.
After leaving this task to the local elected officials, it is time for a balance and assessment of the situation, according to which the government hopes to give an impetus to this process, which, as the prime minister has also admitted, was seriously damaged over the years and for because of corruption.
A second part of the meeting connects the Socialist Party with the government and the Assembly.
The socialists will discuss the new parliamentary session, which is also the last one before the Assembly is dissolved and the country goes to the elections.
With a refreshed government and a new right of Parliament, the left will picket their agenda that guarantees their victory.
The SP must convene its National Assembly to elect the new presidency and the 12 political leaders of the districts, who will also be the electoral headquarters for the spring elections.
