The demand to buy apartments and the increase in construction costs have influenced the increase in the price of real estate.

The finding comes from the Central Bank, which says property prices rose 8% this year.

The number of unsold properties has decreased this year, due to the demand for purchases from local and foreign citizens.

The statement comes from the Bank of Albania, which writes that the demand to buy apartments or commercial units was stable, and it was also reflected by the increase in bank credit.

In the financial stability report, it is said that prices also increased in this period by 8%, compared to a year ago, where the growth for Tirana was even stronger.

Increased costs in construction have also influenced the increase in the price of housing, mainly due to the increase in expenses for wages and energy.

Meanwhile, on the supply side, the number of construction permits was less than a year ago, but not with a significant decrease.

Agents in the market expect such progress to continue in the coming months and remain optimistic in the long term.
