The Prosecutor’s Office of Tirana has launched an investigation into the scandal regarding the awarding of fake diplomas that the Wisdom university college gave in exchange for payments. The investigations started in July, after the report of the rector Bajram Hysaj with the claim that in some cases his signature was forged.

A few days ago, Italian authorities arrested 2 administrators of Wisdom University, during an operation by the Guarda di Finanza, related to a fraud scheme with fake diplomas. Along with the two administrators, 7 other people ended up in handcuffs.

In relation to the charge of falsification of documents, it is learned that the documentation was examined by the prosecutor’s office, documents were seized, and the rector was interrogated.

The Italian administrators of the Wisdom university college seem to be the head of a group of fraudsters who came to Tirana to set up an educational center with excellent students, but who deviated by distributing fake diplomas and certificates to Italian citizens.

The investigations of the Guardia di Finanzia have revealed that the couple Savino Cianci and Lucia Catalano have bribed the president of the Accreditation Council in Albania, citizen Sh.T with a bag worth 1150 euros, even trying to enter the Ministry of Education with expensive gifts.

But she herself says that she does not know the Italian couple, and for her the mention in the Wisdom file is all slander.

Documents from the Italian prosecutor’s office prove that the private university printed fake diplomas, in exchange for payments ranging from 6 thousand euros in the profile of the hotel industry, 9 thousand euros in law and 19 thousand euros in the sciences of education.

The investigations in Italy started from the reports of some citizens and so far 9 Italians have been arrested, while there is no information about the extent of the investigations and the operation of the Guardia di Finanza in Albania.
