Supporters of the Democratic Party joined the protest called by the opposition this Monday, October 7. With many banners in their hands, they headed towards Skënderbej Square and the headquarters of the Democratic Party.
Asked by the journalists of Euronea Albania if there will be throwing of pyrotechnic materials, the citizens neither affirmed nor denied such a thing.
“MAFIA” = Make Albania Free Again was the main slogan with which the protesters started the march towards the Prime Minister’s Office
The protesters headed towards the prime minister’s office while holding placards with writings such as: “Rama brand name in corruption”, “”Success” of Rama, all immigrant people”, “Edi Rama with two governments: One in prison, one in the Prime Minister”, “Full theft -time, part-time government”.
For its success and to guarantee security, the police are expected to activate around 1,200 forces on the ground.
This measure comes after the organizers have warned that during the protest they will aim to block some road axes.
The opposition has requested permission from the police for a 4-hour rally in front of the Prime Minister’s Office. The scenarios of this protest are expected to be learned later.
