“It’s my first time here and I can say that it’s a wonderful place, the city is attractive, the organization of the activity is quite good, I wish us luck in the flying competitions”, said one of the participants.
“For me, parachuting is one of the most beautiful sports that people can practice, this event organized in Gjirokastra is quite good, the weather is beautiful, so far we have performed spectacular flights and the competitions are going quite well, we are pilots from 22 countries of the world and I wish that the activity will continue with this quality”, said the participant.
“I think it is among the best organized competitions in terms of European flying championships, Albania offers very good conditions for the realization of these events, also the people here are very hospitable and we have been offered everything we need to have the best sports results”, said the participant.
In addition to sporting values, the European Flying Championship is also enabling the promotion of the values of Gjirokastra and the attraction of local and foreign tourists.
“For tourism, there is no need to comment, the city is full, there are over 200 people who have been accommodated for a week and a half here, the publicity is very big, the pilots are amazed by the Drino valley here, so I hope that it will also serve and the participants will return as tourists so that the whole business community will also benefit”, said the organizer Alket Islami.
Thanks to the appropriate natural, climatic and touristic conditions, Gjirokastra’s aerodrome has now become the center of organizing national and international events for air sports.
