A total of 126,000 Albanian emigrants have expressed their willingness to vote by mail in the upcoming May 11 elections.

The number of applications to the Central Election Commission (CEC) continues to rise gradually, although some are being rejected due to incomplete or incorrect information submitted to the system.

So far, 60% of applicants—73,000 emigrants—have been granted the right to vote, while 46,000 applications have been denied.

Requests have been submitted from 107 countries, with Italy, Greece, and Germany leading the list, collectively accounting for 76% of applicants.

The gender ratio stands at 60% male and 40% female. Regarding the distribution of votes across Albania’s 12 districts, Tirana, Fier, and Korça lead with 44% of applications, while Dibra, Gjirokastra, and Kukës are at the bottom with just 10%.

The age group between 26 and 45 years is showing the highest interest in voting from abroad, representing 55% of total applications.
