Playing among stars and convincing club officials to sign you is no easy feat, but that is exactly what Mario Mitaj has accomplished. The Albanian full-back is now officially the newest signing of Al Ittihad.
After spending several months with the Saudi club, the team has now confirmed the permanent transfer of his rights. According to Russian media, Al Ittihad paid Lokomotiv Moscow €5.5 million—a relatively low fee for a player with great potential, who could be sold for a much higher sum in the future.
Since joining Al Ittihad, Mitaj has missed only three matches and has featured in all others, either as a starter or a substitute. He has also scored and provided assists, playing alongside stars like Benzema, Kanté, Fabinho, and other well-known European names.
In his most recent match, Mitaj was one of the highest-rated players by Flashscore, with only Bergwijn receiving a better rating.
