Prime Minister Edi Rama participated this Thursday in the presentation of the artificial intelligence (AI) module developed within the European integration and membership platform, which is used daily by more than 1,400 integration experts.
In his speech, Rama stated that the use of artificial intelligence will accelerate the integration process, ensuring that Albania is ready for membership by 2027.
The head of the government added that full integration could take place in 2030, when the Albanian flag could be raised in Brussels.
“With this model, we will be ready to complete everything within the timeframe we have set together with the Commission, and from a technical standpoint, we will be considered ready by 2027. This will then allow time for the political process and ratification in the parliaments of EU member states. In this way, within a two-year framework that we foresee for the political process and ratification by member states, by May 2030, we will be standing with our flag in the front row of the European Union,” said Rama.
Rama thanked the negotiating team for the opening of the third chapter of EU accession negotiations on Wednesday.
“You are the team of negotiators in the effort to make Albania a member of the EU by 2030. Today is a beautiful day for all of us, directly linked to your work. I thank you for your efforts and for honoring this country, despite all those who try to promote a distorted image, suggesting that the Albanian embassy does not deserve respect. Yesterday was a historic moment in the process, known in Brussels’ terminology as the moments when another door opens. Albania received the letter from the Polish presidency, stating that our country is ready to open negotiations for Chapter 3,” said Rama.
