The Special Prosecution Office (SPAK) and the Anti-Corruption Court, in a statement to the media, say that the protest organized by supporters of the arrested mayor Erion Veliaj on February 12, violated the physical security of prosecutors and judges. They demand from the Ministry of Interior and the Police measures against those responsible for the decision not to provide physical protection by police for prosecutors and judges as happened in cases where supporters of the Democratic Party have protested.
The Special Court Against Corruption declares Democratic MP Gazment Bardhi innocent of the charge of defamation and insult. He was sued by the former director of the Shkodra police, Edmond Sula. Bardhi stated in the Parliament that the former director of the police was appointed to this position by persons connected to organized crime.
