The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has received a congratulatory letter from her American counterpart, Donald Trump, on the occasion of the 17th anniversary of Kosovo’s Declaration of Independence.
In his message, President Trump congratulated the people of Kosovo on their journey toward independence, highlighting the resilience and determination that have accompanied this process.
He emphasized the strong support of the United States for Kosovo and its commitment to building a democratic society for all citizens, without distinction.
“The ties between our peoples are strong, and we look forward to expanding them, especially through increased investment opportunities, with the aim of bringing greater prosperity to both our countries. The United States will continue to work with Kosovo in strengthening democratic institutions and promoting economic growth through a stable and fair business environment,” the message states.
Trump also underscored the importance of Kosovo’s further integration into the Euro-Atlantic community and praised Kosovo’s unwavering support for Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression.
At the end of his message, President Trump emphasized that Kosovo’s Independence Day is a moment to reflect on past achievements and to look toward an even brighter future.
