The Border Police at the Port of Durrës successfully concluded operation “Five Charges”, arresting a citizen wanted internationally.
“As part of this operation, 52-year-old Pllum Daci, a resident of Kamëz, Tirana, was detained. This individual had been declared wanted by Interpol Rome on July 24, 2024, and had been sentenced by the Naples Court to 14 years and 10 months in prison (with 13 years and 9 months remaining to serve) for five criminal offenses: ‘Attempted Murder,’ ‘Robbery,’ ‘Threats,’ ‘Theft,’ and ‘Exploitation of Prostitution,’ according to the Italian Penal Code,” the police statement reads.
He was arrested while attempting to enter the Port of Durrës to retrieve a vehicle sent from abroad by his relatives.
Interpol Tirana continues to cooperate with Italian authorities to complete the procedures for his extradition to the neighboring country.
