The Tirana International Airport concession will be extended until year 2040. The new contract, adopted by the Assembly in today’s session with 90 votes in favor, will reduce flight ticket prices and expand capacities for transoceanic flights thanks to the investments of the “Kastrati” company, according to the announcement made by the Infrastructure Minister Belinda Balluku.

The Minister said that the investment of 99.3 million euros that the “Kastrati” company will make for the country’s International Airport will create opportunities to increase service standards.

“The new contract lists in detail all real figures and financial analysis as well as why and when will they will be realized,” said Ms. Balluku.

Among other things, the Minister stressed that the 99 million euros contract also stipulates the time when these investments will be made, thus no longer giving the opportunity to postpone deadlines.
