One day after political subjects submitted their list of candidates for the upcoming general elections to be held on April 25, the Central Election Commission sent back for revision the documentation of the four political parties enrolled in the elections.
The documentation of the candidates to be corrected today by CEC will be for the following parties: New Movement, New Democracy Alliance, Movement for Change, and the Albanian Democratic Movement.
The public session to discuss the lists of candidates of these four parties will be held today at 11:00 AM.
Political parties had until the 8 of March to submit the names of the candidates racing for a post in the Albanian parliament.
After the lists were submitted, CEC has 48 hours to make the preliminary checkups and verify whether the necessary criteria and gender quotas have been fulfilled.
In case of irregularities, political subjects will have 48 hours to make the required amends.
