Barometer | Which Politician Is Most Popular in Tirana District Two Months Before the Elections?

Euronews Albania’s Barometer has conducted its first electoral survey for the Tirana District. The methodology used is a stratified random sample, with a sample size of 1,000 citizens interviewed face-to-face across the district.

The data collection period for this first electoral survey in Tirana, conducted by the Euronews Albania Barometer, took place between February 15-25, 2025.

The first political measurements for the May 11 elections reveal the approval ratings of key political leaders in the district, two months ahead of the vote.

  • Edi Rama leads with 50.3% positive opinion and 47.1% negative opinion.
  • Agron Shehaj follows with 29.9% positive and 39% negative.
  • Adriatik Lapaj ranks third with 29.3% positive and 39.4% negative.
  • Sali Berisha has 28.2% positive and 66.2% negative opinions.
  • Arlind Qori holds 25.2% positive and 45% negative opinions.
  • Endri Shabani has 17% positive and 43.1% negative.
  • Lulzim Basha stands at 12.7% positive and 81.5% negative.
  • Enkelejd Alibeaj records 9.1% positive and 59.6% negative.
  • Ilir Meta ranks last in popularity, with 5% positive and 85.7% negative opinions.

When comparing Tirana District’s approval ratings with national ratings for the same period (February 15-25), results show that Rama, Lapaj, Shehaj, Berisha, Shabani, Alibeaj, and Meta have lower approval in Tirana compared to nationwide numbers. Meanwhile, Qori and Basha see higher approval in Tirana than in the rest of the country.
