Kosovo has launched inspections of chicken meat originating from Brazil, following concerns about the presence of salmonella detected in Albania.

The Kosovo Food and Veterinary Agency has issued an order for controls at border checkpoints, requiring all shipments of chicken meat (fillets) from Brazil to undergo microbiological testing.

The shipments will be held in quarantine until the test results are received.

Additionally, several sales points within the country have been inspected, and samples have been taken for testing. So far, there have been no reports of health issues related to the consumption of this meat.
