Prime Minister Edi Rama has shared a video on his Facebook page, reminding that the European Political Community Summit will be held in Tirana on May 16. Rama describes this as a moment of pride, as leaders from across the European continent will gather in the heart of Tirana.

The video, shared by the head of government, opens with a statement from French President Emmanuel Macron:

“This new European organization would enable democratic European nations that adhere to our core values to find a new field of political cooperation, security, energy, transport, investments, infrastructure, movement of people, and especially our youth,” says Macron.

In the video, Rama emphasizes that the reason Albania was chosen to host this important event is because it is now viewed with respect and appreciation.

“Good morning!
And with the pride that on May 16, the leaders of all the democracies of our continent—from London to Kyiv and from Oslo to Ankara—will gather in the heart of Tirana for the European Political Community Summit, I wish you a great day,” Rama wrote in the posted video.
