Chris La Civita, the American campaign manager for the Democratic Party, delivered a brief speech during the campaign kickoff held in Mother Teresa Square this Friday.

He listed the reasons why, according to him, Albanians should vote for Sali Berisha, while criticizing Edi Rama’s governance.

La Civita said that, for 12 years, Rama’s government has caused numerous problems and failures in the country.

“In 2024 in the United States, they tried to imprison Donald Trump and failed. In 2025 here in Albania, the socialists want to imprison their entire opposition—they will fail. Why? Because they have nothing to say for the failures of the last 12 years. Twelve years of crime, twelve years of drugs, and in twelve years over one million Albanians have left the country. It’s been 12 years of economic failure. Why vote for a party that created all these problems? Vote for Doctor Berisha, give your country a chance and a hope.
