Prime Minister Edi Rama was in Luxembourg this Monday where he held a joint press conference with Radosław Sikorski, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland (currently holding the Presidency of the EU Council), and Marta Kos, the EU Commissioner for Enlargement.
He stated that at this meeting, Albania is showing its full determination, will, and passion to ensure that by 2027, the country will have opened and closed all chapter clusters required for EU membership.
“I have only words of gratitude for the Polish presidency, for its consistent leadership in advancing this process. Our special thanks also go to the European Council, as well as to the EU Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos.
We eagerly look forward to ensuring together that by 2027, all chapter clusters will not only be opened but closed. It is super ambitious, but we are here today to reaffirm our will, our determination, and our full passion to achieve this. For Albania, this is an existential life choice,” Rama said.
