The European Union is calling on Kosovo’s political class to swiftly form its new institutions.
An EU spokesperson for enlargement, responding to questions about whether the latest failure to constitute Kosovo’s Assembly would affect the country’s relationship with the EU, stated:
“We do not comment on the internal affairs of Kosovo, just as we don’t for any other partner country. What I can say is that it is clearly in Kosovo’s best interest to establish its institutions without delay. This is important for advancing European reforms and for moving forward on its EU path.”
