Vlora is getting ready for the start of the tourist season. Local tour operators report high booking rates, raising hopes for a successful summer. Spring reservations are mostly made by foreign visitors who choose Vlora as a holiday destination.
“Of course, we already have bookings during this period. In spring, most of the tourists come from Germany, the UK, Switzerland—countries where travel agencies offer all-inclusive packages. During the summer, tourists come from all over the world,” said Luixhino Isufaj, a local tour operator.
According to operators, summer bookings are nearly full, while a notable feature of this season is the increasing demand from distant Asian and African countries.
“We have bookings for the summer, mainly for July and August. Unlike previous years, we’re now seeing interest from countries we didn’t have before—Asia, Africa, and America,” Isufaj added.
To cope with the high influx expected during the summer months, tour operators have expanded their teams with qualified foreign staff to ensure high-quality service.
“Every year, tour operators invest more. Now, even the staff includes foreigners. We’ve hired international workers in various roles, which improves the service. Vlora should be visited—first, for its nature, and second, for its food, as it offers a diverse cuisine,” explained the tour operator.
Based on current data, although it is still early, over 70% of hotel rooms in Vlora are already booked for July and August.
