In a video message shared on social media, the 2023 Giro d’Italia champion, Primož Roglič, expressed great excitement about the fact that the 2025 edition of the Giro d’Italia will begin in Albania.
Roglič said that he has never been to Albania before but has heard many positive things about the country and is eager to take part in the race.
“I’m really excited that the start will be in Albania. I’ve never been there, so I’m looking forward to it. I’ve heard a lot of beautiful things about Albania. What I definitely expect is a very tough race for us cyclists. I hope it will be a real spectacle, with lots of people present and a fantastic start for the first three stages of the race,” Roglič said in his message.
It’s worth noting that Primož Roglič won the 2023 Giro d’Italia and is aiming for his sixth Grand Tour victory this year, as he prepares to challenge Tadej Pogačar in the 2025 edition.
