Chris LaCivita, campaign manager for the Democratic Party of Albania (PD), delivered a keynote speech at the party’s final rally ahead of the May 11 elections, emphasizing the historic importance of the vote.
He urged citizens to seize this opportunity to change the course of the country and to bring an end to what he described as an era of politicians who have caused economic and social harm to Albania.
“You now have a historic chance and an opportunity to show the world that Albanians reject the politics of the past, that you will not be afraid and will not stop fighting for your families.
But that only happens if you go vote—bring your family, friends, neighbors, and vote Edi Rama out.”
LaCivita praised Sali Berisha as a leader who “saves lives” and called on voters to place their trust in “a doctor who will save Albania’s future.”
“Why not trust a man who has saved lives, who has a real plan to fix the economy and end corruption—a real plan to improve your life?”
“I come to you today as an American who sees a bright future for a great country and an outstanding people,” he added.
He also emphasized international attention on Albania’s elections:
“The whole world is watching these elections. Vote for your future, vote for your support.
God bless Albania,” LaCivita concluded.
