The vote counting process for the May 11 elections is proceeding normally across the country, with only minor interruptions in a few districts.
With 2,356 out of 5,225 Voting Centers counted nationwide, the Socialist Party (SP) leads with 322,221 votes, or 52.67%. It is followed by the Democratic Party–Alliance for the Great Albania (PD–ASHM) coalition with 208,516 votes, or 34.09%.
The gap between the two main political forces in the country now exceeds 100,000 votes.
In the Tirana district, with 475 out of 1,282 Voting Centers counted, the SP leads with 74,551 votes (48.83%), followed by the Democratic Party with 52,481 votes (34.37%).
The “Opportunity” Party ranks third in Tirana with 7,523 votes, or 4.93%.
Based on the current count, the projected seat distribution in the district is as follows:
- Socialist Party (SP): 19 seats
- Democratic Party (PD): 13 seats
- Opportunity Party: 2 seats
- “Albania Becomes” Initiative: 1 seat
- Together Movement: 1 seat
- Social Democratic Party (PSD): 1 seat
