Abdixhiku Meets German Ambassador, Discusses Proposal for Transitional Government

The leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Lumir Abdixhiku, met on Wednesday with the German Ambassador to Kosovo, Jorn Rohde, KosovaPress reports.

According to the LDK, the meeting focused on the latest political developments in the country, with particular emphasis on the institutional crisis and its impact on the normal functioning of democratic institutions.

The discussion also included LDK’s proposal for the formation of a transitional government.

“Chairman Abdixhiku informed Ambassador Rohde about LDK’s proposal to establish a National Transitional Government as a temporary but necessary solution to overcome the current deadlock and restore state functionality. In this context, Chairman Abdixhiku reiterated LDK’s position that the political and institutional blockade is unacceptable, emphasizing that such a situation directly affects citizens’ well-being and hinders the normal course of state processes and institutional development,” the statement reads.

Furthermore, it states that during the meeting, Chairman Abdixhiku expressed deep gratitude for Germany’s ongoing support to the Republic of Kosovo, particularly in integration processes, the strengthening of democratic institutions, and the country’s economic development. The mutual cooperation between the two countries was reaffirmed, along with a shared commitment to further advance this partnership.
