Kosovo’s President Vjosa Osmani has received a death threat via an email sent to the official address of the Presidency.

The news was confirmed for KosovaPress by the Presidential Media Advisor, Bekim Kupina.

A photo of the email shows the threatening message sent to the Presidency’s official inbox.

“The threat was sent to the official email address of the Presidency,” said Kupina.

He added that this week’s threat is part of an ongoing series of death threats against President Osmani.

Kupina also criticized the lack of legal consequences, stating that the perpetrators of such threats have not faced justice, despite this not being the first time Osmani has been targeted.

He warned that this dangerous atmosphere may encourage others to follow the same pattern of violence.
