The President of the Swiss Confederation, Karin Keller-Sutter, met today with her counterpart from Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani. The two discussed economic relations, the free trade agreement, migration issues, and ongoing projects in key sectors in Kosovo.

In a press conference following the meeting, the Swiss President stated that Switzerland will continue to support Kosovo. She also highlighted the important role of the Albanian diaspora in strengthening the friendship and ties between the two countries.

Kosovo’s President Vjosa Osmani expressed her gratitude for Switzerland’s support throughout Kosovo’s state-building phases, including its contribution to the NATO peacekeeping mission – KFOR. She also emphasized the role of the Albanian diaspora in deepening bilateral relations between Kosovo and Switzerland.

Speaking about the situation of Albanians in the Presevo Valley, Osmani pointed out that reports by the U.S. State Department and the European Parliament have shown that Serbia is carrying out ethnic cleansing.
