The Italian anti-mafia, in cooperation with Albania’s Special Anti-Corruption Structure (SPAK) and German authorities, have dismantled an Italo-Albanian criminal organization involved in cocaine and heroin trafficking.
At the center of the investigation by Italian authorities are 29 individuals suspected of involvement in international narcotics trafficking, primarily heroin and cocaine, originating from Albania and the Netherlands and destined for the Italian market. Including the suspects under investigation in Albania, the total number of arrest warrants issued is 52.
According to the investigative file by Italian authorities, the main leader of the organization is identified as Xhevdet Troplini.
His main intermediaries in the operation are believed to be Adi Çoba and Elvis Doçi, also known as “Visi i Pojës.”
