The Conference of Chairpersons was marked by debates between the majority and the opposition regarding the upcoming parliamentary session scheduled for June 12.

Contrary to the decision made during the May 29 Conference of Chairpersons, the ruling Socialist Party has proposed that the June 12 session not be held.

This proposal prompted a reaction from Democratic MP Gazment Bardhi.

“Bon voyage to wherever you’re headed on June 12. Since you’ve apparently solved all of Albania’s problems, go ahead and solve the conflict in Ukraine too. There is absolutely no reason to postpone the parliamentary session. None. There is no justification for rescheduling it from June 12 to June 16, as the original date was already approved by the Conference of Chairpersons. Parliament is not your private property or something to be bargained with, as you’ve recently tried to treat it,” Bardhi stated.
