The Municipality of Tirana has launched an online platform for enrolling children in kindergartens and nurseries for the 2024–2025 school year.
Through this digital system, parents can apply without needing to physically visit institutions, ensuring a simpler and more transparent process.
So far, the process is running smoothly and has received thousands of applications from across the capital.
In an interview with Euronews Albania, Zhaneta Beqiri, Director of Kindergartens and Nurseries in Tirana, stated that applications are submitted through the dedicated platform: e-femijet.tirana.al.
“The platform is active for three weeks, from June 2 to June 22. Parents can apply for nursery or kindergarten enrollment, for transfers from nursery to kindergarten, or between institutions. The link is available on our official website femijetetiranes.al and on our social media. So far, we’ve received 5,900 applications. From June 22 to mid-August, all requests will be reviewed and evaluated. Parents will be notified so that by September 1, all children whose applications were submitted will be eligible to receive services in public nurseries and kindergartens,” said Beqiri.
Although the first week saw some issues, a support person was assigned to each nursery and kindergarten to assist parents with the platform.
